Ibragimov makes his debut

He played the full 90 minutes, although he was unable to find the back of the net which would have truly capped off the debut.

The 15-year-old recently signed a new contract at Old Trafford, and there was apparently interest in moving him away from United.

He seems committed to the club and he has opportunities to play above his age group, and has recent experience with the England Under-15s.

It is important that United manage their development carefully, pushing it at the right time but also not overshooting it or adding unnecessary hype.

He will draw more attention on the back of these impressive achievements and youth coaches will watch him to see how he performs with older players.

It was unfortunate for United they couldn’t pull off the win to mark his debut, but the leader hopes it’s just another step in a long and successful footballing journey.
